Affiliations, accreditations and certifications

Fire Protection understands the importance of independent certification to reassure our customers that the level of service we provide is verified by recognised industry bodies. To this end, we were the first company to achieve third-party accreditation for all the ductwork systems and services that we supply.

Fire Protection is associated with the following organisations:

BM Trada 14001

Fire Protection Ltd is certified to the Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015 and is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system certified independently by BM Trada. It provides a framework to manage environmental aspects, fulfil compliance obligations and address environmental risks and opportunities.

BM Trada ISO 45001

Fire Protection Ltd is certified to the Occupational Health & Safety Management System ISO 45001: 2008 certified independently by BM Trada. It provides a framework to increase safety, reduce workplace risks and enhance health and wellbeing at work enabling Fire Protection Ltd to improve it's Occupational Health & Safety performance.

BM Trada ISO 9001

Our Quality Management System is certified to ISO 9001:2015, for the manufacture and installation of fire resisting ductwork systems and penetration seals.

Environmental Product Declarations (EPD's)

Environmental Product Declarations (EPD's) are an essential tool in today's eco-conscious landscape. They provide transparent and verified information about the environmental impact of our BW11, BW18, FPL-09 & GSS ductwork systems. By implementing EPDs, we demonstrate our commitment to sustainability.

CCPI - Code for Construction Product Information

The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) helps organisations drive higher standards in the presentation of construction product information, prioritising building safety. We have gained CCPI certification for products FPL-01, FPL-08, FPL-09, FPL-05 & FPL-HV.

ADCAS

The Association of Ductwork Contractors and Allied Services is a trade organization that represents ductwork contractors and related suppliers and services in the UK. ADCAS provides support and resources to its members and aims to promote high standards and best practices in the industry.

Safe Contractor

Alcumus SafeContractor are an accreditation body who like CHAS are part of SSIP. This accreditation scheme helps you highlight good practice when it comes to health and safety requirements.

BSI Identify

BSI Identify issues manufacturers with a unique and permanent identifier, for every product, called a BSI UPIN (Universal Persistent Identification Number). It holds these UPINs in a permanent and free registry with technology ensuring the link persists forever.

IFE (The Institution of Fire Engineers)

A global professional membership body for those in the fire sector that seek to increase their knowledge, professional recognition and understanding of fire through a global discourse.

FIRAS (Fire Accreditation Scheme)

A passive fire system is only as good as its installation. FIRAS carries out quarterly site inspections to confirm that Fire Protection's installations meet the required standards. Our installers are individually assessed by FIRAS, confirmation of which can be obtained from the FIRAS website.

CQMS Safety Scheme

Having proven we provide the competence and compliance with the SSIP Core Criteria, we have therefore been proudly accredited by CQMS' Safety Scheme as a Contractor. CQMS aim to bring all our health and safety needs together ensuring we proactively manage our health and safety obligations.

Construction Fixings Association

We support the CFA objective of "Ensuring Best Fixings Practice" by providing a high quality on-site anchor testing service in General Purpose Anchor Testing.

BESA (Building Engineering Services Association)

The Building & Engineering Services Association is a valuable provider of training courses. Member since 1994 and proudly sit on BESAs' Technical Committee.

ASFP (Association for Specialist Fire Protection)

ASFP is the leading UK and European Trade Association relating to passive fire protection promoting continuous improvement in all aspects of the fire protection industry. The ASFP produces the Blue Book, An Industry Guide to Design & Installation Fire Resisting Ductwork. Fire Protection's Flamebar BW11 system is included within this publication. We have been members since 2012 and currently sit on their Technical Committee.

CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

Fire Protection provides an independently certified CPD on passive fire protection, relating to fire resisting ductwork. We deliver regular, free seminars, aimed at expanding the understanding of the need for, and methodologies behind, fire protection in the construction industry and installation training. Our CPD's contribute to the continuing personal and professional development of all individuals who attend.

RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents)

RoSPA Order of Distinction (15 consecutive Golds) Award for our health and safety performance. The ultimate symbol of achievement in safety and excellence, the internationally renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards recognise organisations, teams and projects across all sectors for their unwavering commitment to protecting lives.

FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme)

FORS accreditation demonstrates our commitment to operating our fleet to exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental protection. Our drivers undertake extensive training, including Safe Urban Driving. We have also developed Policies, Procedures and Risk Assessments as part of our Management System. We first achieved Bronze accreditation in 2013 and subsequently upgraded to Silver in 2014. Each year submitted evidence is audited to ensure we retain that level of accreditation.

Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation

Cyber Essentials Plus is an expansion upon the “Cyber Essentials Verified Self-Assessment”. Cyber Essentials is a UK government scheme supported by the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) to help protect organisations against cyber attacks. Cyber Essentials Plus certification demonstrates our commitment to data protection and cyber security for the good of ourselves and our customers.

Achilles

Fire Protection Ltd is proud to hold the Building Confidence Accreditation. Demonstrating compliance with the Common Assessment Standard, UK Health & Safety Legislation and CDM Regulations 2015.

CHAS

CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. The scheme fully reflects the stage one requirements of assessing competence under CDM 2007. Copyright 2003.

Construction Line

Fire Protection Ltd has secured Gold membership with Constructionline and as such can prove we have completed further validation checks using an enhanced pre- qualification questionnaire that goes beyond PAS 91.
